Heat wave

SoCal's in a heat wave. Death Valley recorded (maybe) the highest temperature since the 1930s. Closer to shore it's also sticky, and the ocean smells like fish that has been left out too long.

I've reached a mental state in the pandemic where I'm now just bored. So I'm writing a new article, but doing a ton of research first.

I've hired two new research assistants, too. They started yesterday. So far, so good, although one of them tends to sleep on the job. Under the chair.  The other one is a bit more ambitious.
