Scenes from Lost Angeles

I guess we're entering the thrid week of quarantine but for me it's the fourth because I started early. I still go on the morning walks, though. It's both serene and surreal to see empty streets. Even the homeless who are usually ubiquitous in Venice have disappeared. Normally I'd see ten. Now there's only one or two.

Kindness. I didn't realize you could still fly, though
MOre kindness. There's human and pet food in here, where it would normally be books
Canal sidewalks too narrow for social distancing
The beach parking lots are closed. So is the beach.
I feel like we're being indoctrinated now. You can't escape this message.
I'll bet there's a run on caution tape
Even though the beach is closed and you can be fined for ignoring it, a few still come
Taken from the sidewalk. Emptiness

When this is all over, I might want to leave the big city life for something more remote. I wonder how many other people share that same sentiment.
