Nick Cave: Alone at Alexandra Palace
Been listening to this album and I'm struck by how evocative Cave's voice is. He doesn't need much beyond that and his piano. "Into My Arms," is hands down my favorite Cave track and it's off my favorite album "The Boatman's Call." The weight of the album is so heavy, and yet it is so elegant too.
I'm glad a lot of musicians and artists in general haven't let the pandemic turn them catatonic. While it's not necessary to write an album responding to the times, and we're all tired of hearing about it, adapting to the times in creative ways is as healthy as it is cathartic.
