Rosetta Stone
I have always hated the word "goth" to define a genre of music that is essentially dance with (usually) minor key undertones. It's so limiting a name. And within that genre there is a synesthesia spectrum ranging from dark purple to shimmering gold.
I remember being in high school when a friend of mine introduced me to Rosetta Stone. We were already big Sisters/Cure/Shadow Project fans.
Then we heard Rosetta Stone.
"Cryptology" is Rosetta Stone's is the first new album in 25 years and it sounds like it was released 25 years ago. And that's a good thing.
The entire album is amazing but I keep coming back to "In Black."
I want to spend a day climbing the bassline stairs.
