SLW cc Mike Watt

I love this whole album by Samuel Locke Ward and Mike Watt. Real Manic Time features really short songs, some avant-garde kinda Beefhearty stuff, some surfy doo wop stuff, an off-kilter jazz track or two and some lo-fi indie stuff, too. It's kind of like Zappa but without Serious Composer Ambitions, or Red Krayola but with more spoken word or something.

One song in particular brings much happiness and keeps making me play it again and that is the song "Something Found." But "Fleeting Are The Times," "Droops," "Fuck Your Guitar" are also standouts as is the closer "Delay And Feedback in E," which reminds me of a lost Low-era Bowie track.
